Fascinated by our daily lives, I dig deeper to find meaning behind peoples behaviours that are triggered by their cultures, environments and experiences. It is the deep rooted human feelings associated with people's behaviours that inspire me to explore their motivations, fears, journeys, and conflicts, to uncover broader cultural realities.

 

I am a cultural anthropologist working in the insights and strategy industry. Over the years I have worked across various industries including fashion, social media, beauty, FMCG, etc to develop insights that address human truths/realities.

 

TheSmallTalk is a space where I explore larger themes and socio-cultural realities and understand how they play out in people's lives through their actions and performed identities. I am curious to encounter new learnings on the way as I try to explore varied topics. My passion and academic interests lie in topics like fashion, the body, beauty, media, and love and relationships. My writings here are a way to communicate my explorations and journey on some of these areas and the interdependencies amongst them.
